70's Fashion Makes a Comeback..

the new SS11 line shows the return of 70's fashion. Flares are big for the summer, also a huge trend back in the 70's. Catwalks show all the prints of the decade, from ditsy floral prints to polka dots and hippy prints. Adding crochet to the outfit to complete the look, creating a hippy and folksy feel. floppy hats are also back for the summer, another key trend of this decade.

• Cut out detailing in suede is big this season over floral ditsy prints and crotchet to create a folksy feel

• 70's style prints are also big. polka dots,  florals, graphic paisly prints. Mix them up and wear them all together for a great look this season.

• Earthy colours mixed with denim. Tarnished brown and gold leather. Earthy reds and turqouises mixed with light denim to create a wild west look.

• Colour pop- bright, vibrant colours mixed with monocrome or dull shades to bring a spot of colour to an outfit.

• The midlength skirt is big in SS11. clashing sorbet colours together to create a bright vibrant look.

• Kick flare trousers mixed with animal prints and feather prints and finished with a wedge heel for a folksy but rocker look.

BETH DITTO AT FASHION WEEK...

Beth Ditto made an appearence on the catwalk of Paris fashion week this week, opening Jean-Paul Gaultiers show and also closing it in some of the designers wackiest clothes. The size 28 singer made a huge impact at the show, a far away cry from the usual size 0 models that hit the catwalk!
